Abstract

Using a lithium induced taste-aversion paradigm with varying concentrations of alcohol (ethanol), C57BL/6J mice showed a higher avoidance threshold than DBA/2J mice, thus indicating that the large strain differences in ethanol preference reported in the literature may be, to some extent, caused by strain differences in the stimulus saliency of ethanol solutions. © 1978, Psychonomic Society, Inc..
