Abstract

This paper is partly a discussion of some of the issues raised by Brian Cantwell in Section III of his paper. It also briefly considers the importance of the organised motion in terms of contributions to the Reynolds stresses and the average lateral heat flux, the effect of Reynolds number on this motion and some implications for local isotropy.
