Abstract

The Fifth International Congress on Psychiatric Genetics was held in Santa Fe, New Mexico between 19-23 October 1997. The core of the meeting was clinical and molecular genetics of psychiatric disorders including schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, depression, Alzheimer's disease, autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Many other aspects such as ethical, legal and social implications were also discussed.
