Abstract

Complex manufacturing systems require appropriate dynamic real-time dispatching approaches to obtain optimal operational performance. Multi-pass dispatching algorithms obtain increasing attentions due to their superiority. At first, the definition and research background of multi-pass dispatching are introduced, and then, the applications of multi-pass dispatching based on data mining (DM) are described. Finally, further research problems and possible research directions are pointed out. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
