Studies are showing that academic performance is achieved with the interconnection of different variables involved in not only the student, but also the teacher, the environment around the school and even the family and social environment of the student . This paper shows a literature review of psicodidactic variables that may influence or increase student motivation in physical education lessons, in order to propose some guidelines for action and research that can improve motivation among students and even academic performance. Among the variables studied, we can see motivational climate, autonomy, satisfaction and boredom, as well as some intervention programs based on the adjustment of the task, authority, recognition, grouping, evaluation and time (TARGET). Finally, after reviewing some studies demonstrating the influence of continuous physical activity in school performance, some ideas to consider among teachers to improve student motivation and some research to evaluate the proposed sport grip among teenagers and the impact on student performance with continued physical practice.
