Abstract

The major intention of this work is to formulate and evaluate the orodispersible tablets of Rizatriptan benzoate by direct compression technique for the management of migraine. In this work natural superdisintegrants are utilized for rapid disintegration of the formulated dosage form. In addition the natural superdisintegrants were compared for superior effect which was shown by the dehydrated banana powder. The formulation containining banana powder showed the lesser disintegrationt time and higher drug release when compared with the formulations containing mango peel pectin and Gellan gum.
