Abstract

Conclusion: We are using the THA navigation technology as a routine procedure in our institution, and the confidence for acetabular cup position is well established during more than 1000 procedures. The navigation of the femoral stem component is at the beginning and the measured values are not all understood in order to optimize the placement of THA implant components. As the presented THA navigation system measures certain parameters the surgeon must be able to select the appropriate ones for the individual patient situation. © 2007 Springer Medizin Verlag Heidelberg.
