The purpose of this research is to know the learning achievements of students through the internal quality assurance system and as a tool to achieve and maintain school progress. This research uses qualitative approach. Data sources are used through interview techniques, observations, and documentation studies. Analysis of research results used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The findings of the meaning of the importance of SPMI are presented to basic educational institutions. The research was conducted in one of the private elementary schools in Bandung. The results of this study show that: (1) SPMI conducted continuously contributes to the acquisition of superior accreditation ratings. (2) The spmi cycle carried out in its entirety has guided the course of various tasks from school stakeholders. (3) Quality culture can be created through the implementation of SPMI.
