In recent years, however, China also scores high results in this field and has developed a number of efficient mechanisms for promoting intercultural competence. The study of its experience can be of great importance for higher education in other countries. Thus the primary purpose of the research is to present and assess the mechanisms of intercultural competence development for academic mobility purposes of the engineering students and scholars in China and justify the possibilities of using them in higher education of other countries.
