Abstract

Leioproctus (Filiglossa) is revised and females are described for the first time. Three species, Leioproctus(Filiglossa) davisi, L. (F.) hamatus and L. (F.) prolatus are described as new. Four species of Leioproctus (Filiglossa) are recognised. These species are found in southeastern Australia and are unusual in having very long hairs originating from the apex of the maxillary galeae, a very elongate third labial palp segment, and a hair‐like fourth labial palp segment.
