Abstract

The present work aims to present the analysis of a mapping made from the publications about the subject of the Social Representations in national journals, evaluated in the extract A by CAPES, in the area of Education. After identification and cataloging of the articles, a database was built, with the suport of electronic spreadsheets, taking into account the main characteristics of the works. The collected data were arranged in tables and analyzed as the use of the software Gephi 0.9.1 for the identification of possible relations. We classified the works in three major areas (Human Sciences, Health Sciences and Multidisciplinary), considering the classification proposed by CAPES, and we started to work with the main characteristics of each area from the publications. From the data we can see the predominance of research in the area of Health Sciences, with emphasis on the issue of collective health. However, the field of Human Sciences has also appropriated the framework proposed by Moscovici (2012) and has been developing a significant number of works.
