Abstract

ACL graft reconstruction gives excellent functional results at more than 10 years of follow-up. An ACL-deficient knee combined with medial meniscectomy and varus malalignment may precipitate the progression of arthritis. The role of the tibial slope is also important. In some selected cases, the combined procedure, with HTO and ACL reconstruction, is indicated to restore correct alignment, knee laxity, and instability and resume to a recreational level of leisure activities or sports with midterm follow-up. Radiographically, the midterm evolution of OA medial femorotibial compartment was stabilized.
