Abstract

Italy is a very fragile country due to its recent geological formation. Frequent earthquakes and volcanic phenomena create situations of danger with a large number of victims. Moreover, earthquakes are sudden and unpredictable, and many structures and houses have not been built with earthquake-proof constructions. The situation is getting worse and worse due to climate change, which leads to irregularities in precipitation and temperatures. Some consequences of this situation are landslides and floods, which, on the other hand, involve the whole country. Therefore, the watercourses break their riverbeds causing floods and landslides, which the lack of vegetation cover makes frequent and dangerous.
