Abstract

This work presents a multi-site resource allocation (MSRA) strategy for grid resource broker to dispatch jobs to appropriate resources across multiple different administrative domains on a computational grid. The experimental result shows that MSRA can obtain better performance than other strategies. We use the Ganglia and NWS tools to monitor resource status and network-related information, respectively. The proposed grid resource broker provided secure, updated information about available resources and served as a link to the diverse systems available in the Grid. © 2008 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
