This study attempts to shed light on the therapist’s experience of Nordoff-Robbins Clinical Improvisation. Eight clinicians and two directors at the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Clinic at New York University in 1991 were interviewed about their lived experience of Clinical Improvisation. The data generated by the interviews were subjected to phenomenological analysis. Results of the research are presented and discussed. Interviewees were presented with the results and discussion, and their responses are incorporated in the Conclusion
