Abstract

Cases of microcephaly brought about by the Zika virus have brought professional and personal challenges for nurses in Brazil. Paediatric nurses, such as Roberta Seabra (pictured), take over as part of the multidisciplinary team once the baby is born. In this article health writer Jacqui Thornton presents some personal stories.
