In this chapter I sketch a picture of present-day exclusion as experienced by people with disabilities, and consider some of the activities that have been undertaken to overturn it. I consider that some of the potholes of disability scholarship can be found here: between the continued tangible experiences of people with disabilities of marginalisation and the political and social actions that are aimed at challenging their causes.
