At first, an attempt to deal with basic aspects related to subcutaneous fat determination was made by analyzing the different implications of the skinfold thickness. Then, the principles of hydrostatic weighing were examined as an aid the body density estimate, attempting to report its applications and limitations to the fat evaluation.
