Abstract

This article is part of pedagogical practices that have as objective the students of Physics I and II of the Civil Engineering Course. The work was carried out as an interdisciplinary activity without Civil Engineering course by the disciplinary process with the purpose of exploring the basic steps and a presentation of how to make the ecological bricks (soil-cement), by the stages of testing and manufacturing of brick with the use of crushing tailings and clay red soil. The use of crushed tailings in the soil-cement mix for the manufacture of wallpapers is an addition to the percentage of sandy material and resistance to brick. Also, a sustainable alternative. The use of the red clay soil had a movement with the aesthetic differentiation, orange coloration with black pigments, originating from the basaltic rock typical of the region. This work in addition to stimulating knowledge in the disciplines provided a way of working in progress for the practice of civil construction and the group work improved as an interference of the involvement.
