Abstract

This paper addresses the problem of designing state feedback and output-feedback controllers for uncertain fuzzy systems with states and control input delays. By employing the Lyapunov function, some sufficient conditions for guaranteeing the robust stability of the considered systems are derived. Then the stability conditions are presented into linear matrix inequalities so that the desired controller can be easily obtained by using the Matlab linear matrix inequality (LMI) toolbox. Finally, an example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2007.
