Abstract

This article of the journal Group. Interaction. Organization. would like to use a systematic literature research to look at the topic of agile methods from a micro-organizational perspective for the university sector. On the one hand, the results show that agile methods have already gained access to (international) academic teaching in order to counter some current challenges in higher education. On the other hand, the analysis and interpretation also reveals room for further approaches to the procedure, provided that the application of agile methods is to have a stronger holistic organizational relationship for the university. The final implications for research and practice show that design thinking could have the biggest potential for application in university organization, for example in the process of curriculum and course development.
