Abstract

A new fuzzy control expert system of hot blast stove based on simulation and thermal balance is put forward in this paper. The system takes maximization of combustion and heat transfer efficiency of hot blast stove as the optimization objectives under comprehensively consideration of the hot blast stove's life. Firstly, numerical simulation method is used to get the mathematical model on the relationships about air preheating temperature, gas-flow, air-fuel ratio, gas composition, vault temperature and combustion efficiency. Secondly, from the perspective of residual heat, a residual heat deductive model of the hot stove is built based on thermal balance to improve the heat transfer efficiency. Finally, a fuzzy control expert system is developed using fuzzy inference method which comprehensively considers numerical simulation, thermal balance results and the experience and knowledge of experts and operational personnel. The system has been applied in Qian'an Steel, and achieved successful economic and environment effect.
