Abstract

Some changes in physiological characteristics of honey bee colonies were investigated by using supplementary feeding in addition to pasture conditions in spring. The supplementary feeds were cakes prepared with (1) honey and pollen, (2) soya flour, pollen, sucrose and water, (3) yeast, pollen, sucrose and water, (4) yeast, sucrose and water (5) soya flour, sucrose and water, with an unsupplemented control group (6). Use of honey and pollen cake as supplementary feed for beekeeping is recomended. © GSP, India.
