Abstract

With the development of digital technology, gig economy has become a new form of quickly matching work tasks and labor force in digital scenarios. Based on 426 survey data, this paper finds that there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between algorithm management and platform commitment, and the relationship is mediated by advantage job remodeling and interest job remodeling. This study attempts to examine the impact of algorithmic management on platform commitment in the gig economy from a more comprehensive perspective, and to examine the dual mechanism of action in the new scenario of job reshaping theory from a more granular perspective.
