O déficit em consciência fonológica e sua relação com a dislexia: diagnóstico e intervenção

Abstract

TEMA: as relações entre consciência fonológica e dislexia, bem como diagnóstico e intervenção. OBJETIVO: revisar a literatura especializada em busca de informações que relacionem consciência fonológica e dislexia como forma de aprofundar conhecimentos acadêmicos e profissionais sobre o tema. CONCLUSÕES: não há consenso na literatura sobre a definição de dislexia, bem como se há ou não fatores associados a ela. Além disso, o déficit de habilidades em consciência fonológica apresenta-se como um dos principais indicadores no diagnóstico de dislexia e necessita de intervenções específicas visando o seu desenvolvimento.BACKGROUND: the relationships between phonological awareness and dyslexia, as well as diagnosis and treatment. PURPOSE: review the specific literature in search of information that relate phonological awareness and dyslexia and as a way to deepen academic and professional knowledge on the subject. CONCLUSION: there is no consensus in the literature about the definition of dyslexia, and whether or not there are factors associated with it. Moreover, the deficit in phonological awareness seems to be a main indicator in the diagnosis of dyslexia, requiring specific interventions for developing skills in phonological awareness.
