Abstract

The new public management introduced in the public and community services within the social sector in the years 1980-1990 takes its origin in the neo-liberal managerial wave. It is shown by two main components: the setting of new tools of evaluation and control of the activity of organizations and professional practices, on one side and on the other side, the institutional reorganizations. This article analyses the impact of this managing logic considering the personal experience of the 'social work' professionals such as the actors report in a sociologic survey.
