Neurolaw and UNESCO bioethics declarations

Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of the bioethics Declarations agreed by all member countries of UNESCO with reference to neurosciences. The texts, the 1997 Universal Declaration on the Human Genome and Human Rights, and the 2005 Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights, provide a number of useful points for countries considering policy for use of knowledge of neurosciences, and in the education of society of the issues that arise from our increased understanding of neurosciences.
