Abstract

This paper considers how 3D virtual worlds(3DVW) represent constructivist learning environments andhow this technology may be used to support creativity indesign education. It presents an example of how 3DVW canbe used in formal design education as a mean for teachingspatial design and considers how 3DVW may foster andpromote creative potential and give design students firsthandexperiences of engaging in creative design processes.
