Abstract

The authors argue that a massive tree-planting programme in the humid tropics, absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, as well as measures to half deforestation, could eventually serve to sequester carbon in amounts significant for our efforts to counter the greenhouse effect. -from Authors
