This chapter explores emotional labour in the lives of mothers and disabled children. It draws on data from a recently completed research project, ‘Does Every Child Matter, post-Blair? The interconnections of disabled childhoods’, a two-year project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (http//post-blair.posterous.com).
