Abstract

1968 and then the impugnment of the Soviet model have regrettably led numbers of heirs of the communist movement to blindly burn what they had excessively worshiped. "State" has been then automatically understood as "State control". Management prevailed over the necessary public property of the production means. The loss of benchmarks that followed was seriously detrimental to the progressive forces. It is time today to look back at those harmful political mistakes. Learning from the past nationalizations, the article outlines a new concept of the social appropriation, the necessary condition prior to a socialist transformation. It also describes what could be the new institutionnal architecture of a parliamentary and democratic regime. These are two examples of what could lead to a coming back to the revolutionnary fundamental values.
