This book examines labour union officials and employers immigration policy preferences and their sway in shaping the immigration policymaking process. The author bases her findings from interview with labour union leaders, employer representatives, government officials, and on union literature and analysis of media reports. The text is divided into seven varied chapters. Each chapter focuses on issues like globalization and its connects to labour and business; why labor union leaders favor more open immigration policies; and shedding light on European employers vague and contradictory immigration preferences.
