This essay weaves a reflection on certain transformations occurring during the last centuries in Western society, referred to bodily images. The focus is concentrated on symbolic and moral movements around the nudity of the female breast is exposed to the public, with the intention of identifying the senses of censorious reactions that image has motivated in different historical moments.
