Medical methods for preventing blood loss at caesarean section

Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: To compare the use of prophylactic drug treatments administeredin order to minimise blood loss at the time of caesarean section, on the outcomes of maternal blood loss, need for additional medication or treatment to control haemorrhage, and maternal side effects or complications.
