Abstract

This paper presents stress relaxation, incremental unloading, and double strain rare cycling data at 300 degree K for powder metallurgical and electron beam melted polycrystalline molybdenum wires swaged by conventional techniques. Special care was taken to check the mutual consistency of the analytical methods for stress relaxation to obtain such deformation parameters as the dislocation velocity-stress exponent, activation volume, and thermal and athermal components of the flow stress.
