Abstract

Modern communication networks and procedures are increasingly expanding the boundaries of technological communication. Holographic depictions of people holding a conversation, once the stuff of science fiction novels, is reality today. High-resolution video conferences and video transmission across continents are now possible in real time. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
