Abstract

This document presents the first results of a study aimed at experimenting an innovative approach to the design and evaluation of complex urban transformation processes. Through a case study, a decision-making process capable of supporting the planning of urban interventions is illustrated. In particular, the choice concerns the regeneration processes of abandoned industrial areas in vulnerable contexts and assessing the relative tangible and intangible effects. According to a multi-phase design, different methods are combined in the evaluation process: SWOT analysis, Stakeholder Analysis, Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis and Discounted Cash Flow Analysis.
