Abstract

Island biogeography theory provides a broad conceptual framework for the design of greenspaces, but application to specific situations must be undertaken with caution. Recommendations for large size and high diversity of native species are made, with as compact and as dense a network of reserve "patches' as possibly being also desirable features. -P.J.Jarvis
