Abstract

The paper represents a dataset towards the acceptability and adaptability of publication repository system in a University environment. Data collection was over a period of two months, ranging from April 2021 till May 2021. The process was concluded using an online survey. It comprises of certain questions based on which derivations can be made. Authors made the survey in the form of a questionnaire comprising of following parts: personal details (04 Questions), acceptability about publication repositories (04 Questions), and general awareness about the current publication repository mechanism of University (05 Questions) and publications criteria / track (04 Questions). Two basic protocols were applied in this research survey, according to which any respondent must be above 30 years age, and he should be a part of University Academic curriculum. A snowball technique in accordance with purposive strategy in order to collect the information from University. The information collection commenced using emails and personalized WhatsApp messages to all the employees of University. A total of 97 observations were collected across at different centres. This data is useful for the authorities of the government universities in Saudi Arabia to find out the academic intentions to use a publication repository in a University. The data which is collected as a part of this survey is useful for various other universities seeking the deployment for their personalized publication repository systems in order to maintain the information about research being held at the University level.
