Abstract

We report on the results of a study with 105 teachers about the practice of question asking in German schools. Most teachers deploy questions as an important teaching method, however, just a small number of them possess systematic question asking techniques and prepare questions systematically for their lessons. This is a motivation for us to propose a framework for question generation, which is intended to help teachers prepare questions for their lessons.
