M-learning is an important research area in educational technology nowadays, but the design of m-learning system needs more empirical research in China. This study uses experience research, survey research and interview means to find out suitable m-learning models for Chinese college students. Based on the empirical research, this paper brings up an m-learning system model of colleague English, which can provide with personalized services and can integrate with e-learning seamlessly. This study will benefit those who would like to develop and design m-learning systems or materials. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
