Abstract

Green compacts of fluorphlogopite with 0, 5, and 10 wt% H//3PO//4 were evacuated in a borosilicate glass tube at 400 degree C for 1 h and sealed. Each capsule was isostatically hot-pressed. Synthetic mica with 10 wt% H//3PO//4 was sintered to a bulk density of 2. 71 Mg/m**3 under 150 MPa of water at 700 degree C for 3 h.
