The numerical simulation of the deep drawing of steel sheets requires data about product geometry, material properties and the process itself. Numerical simulation has been widely applied to predict and visualize the deformed geometry, final thickness of the work piece, wrinkling, critical areas of breakage and other features typical of the forming process. This work discusses the sensitivity of numerical simulation by changing some parameters: element type, element size, specific mass of material and integration points in elements shell. The influence of these parameters on processing time and quality of the results was also analyzed. The results of the models were compared and validated with the real pieces. The model geometrical and adopted methodology allowed evaluating the influence of the simulation parameters with high efficiency.
