Abstract

(from the chapter) Analyzes the activities of Centre for Victims of Torture Nepal from a public mental health perspective. The 4 major highlighted points are (1) population-based studies on torture survivors living in Nepal, (2) clinic data on help-seeking native Nepalese torture survivors, (3) care of Bhutanese refugee torture survivors and training Bhutanese refugee counselors, and (4) care of native Nepalese torture survivors and training of native Nepalese counselors.
