Abstract

PET/MR imaging has all the benefits of PET combined with the excellent soft tissue contrast and characterization of MR for non-small cell lung cancer. It also avoids unnecessary radiation and contrast needed for CT characterization. Small-sized malignant nodules may be difficult to detect with FDG PET/MRI.
