Rediscovery of the presumed extinct Lepidium peregrinum in northern New South Wales has allowed its morphology and diagnostic characters to be described more fully than hitherto. Its relationship to its close relatives is clarified and a key provided. Its original range, habitat, occurrence in Europe as a wool-alien and conservation status are also discussed.
