Abstract

The research owes its relevance to the necessity of training trans-professionals with knowledge, skills and abilities in foreign language discourse and entrepreneurship. The paper examines the requirements for specialists and also techniques for developing the foreign language discursive competence of students in the sphere of the entrepreneurship. The basic skills, abilities and knowledge comprising foreign language discursive competence are identified, which consist of three components: high level foreign language proficiency; the ability to recognize a given communicative situation; the ability to evaluate knowledge, strategy and informational reserves of a communicant. The paper presents the Instagram application for mobile phones, tablets and other digital media as information and communicative technology for the development of foreign language discursive and entrepreneurship skills. The paper also demonstrates the teaching elements (accessibility of video information through mobile devices and computers) and the ability to place and store data for an indefinite period of time, which can be transmitted in video format at the request of a student to a personal account in Instagram via the Internet; the ability to leave comments (asynchronous actions of a lecturer, student and external experts); the ability of mastering gained knowledge throughout the accomplishment of practical tasks; the ability to show information on screen, which allows the organization of group participation of students in discussions and interpretation of video and text information) and instructional functions of the Instagram app. The research into the utilization of Instagram by students who study foreign languages with an entrepreneurship track includes the following topics from the curriculum of the discipline Foreign Business Language, which enabled evaluation and analysis of the effectiveness of the app's usage: creation of video files is conducive to learner in performing independent work and also optimizes the educational process.
