Abstract

Amidst an extensive development of the media and an increase in the number of international student mobilities, the cultural and social relationships have become more numerous, having profound implications over the individual's and society's cultural identity. Thus, the education for cultural diversity becomes a must in the students' instruction and learning in the contemporary school system. In this context, music education has a special role, as it becomes a medium, a resource, a pretext or the way in which intercultural instruction is realized. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
