Abstract

Because of waves, the island and reef images have the characteristics such as large noise and big influence by light intensity changes, use Gabor wavelet's characteristics of multiple directions, multi-scale and can be able to determine the best sense of the texture frequency, this article proposed with Gabor wavelet edge detection method of the sea image edge by compared with a variety of edge detection operators. Matlab simulation results show that, by using this method the contour extraction more close to the real image, which verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the method. This paper using vc + + language design and realize the function of image preprocessing and reef edge detection. In addition, the system runs stably and basically achieved the requirement of the island and reef processing. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2011.
