Abstract

This article discusses the Emar and Ugarit manuscripts of the composition 'Enlil and Namzitarra'. As part of the discussion, it offers a new interpretation of the 'vanity theme' speech contained within the composition, arguing that contrary to what is claimed in the literature, this speech is delivered by Namzitarra and not by Enlil. © P.U.F.
